This 10-day Egypt tour features most Roman and Pharaonic highlights in Cairo and Alexandria, with leisure time by the Red Sea at Hurghada. We start in Cairo with tours of the Pyramids and Sphinx at Giza, and the world famous Egyptian Museum which has a huge collection of ancient artefacts including of course, the King Tutankhamun display.
Next explore Roman historical marvels such as Pompey’s Pillar, the Library of Alexandria, underground catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, with a visit to the ancient Roman theatre.
Then we head to the Red Sea coast in Hurghada, where a beach resort awaits for some well-deserved rest and relaxation. Hurghada offers superb opportunities for safari adventures, snorkeling, and scuba diving, along with various other water sports. Alternatively, you can simply unwind on the beach. Feel free to extend your stay here or return to Cairo with the rest of the group. The tour concludes with a leisurely afternoon in Cairo, where you have the option to embark on a city tour. Afterwards, we explore the bustling markets and bazaars during a final guided stroll. Additionally, you may choose to revisit the pyramids for an evening sound and light show or indulge in a dinner cruise along the Nile.
Welcome to Egypt! Upon your arrival at the airport, we'll arrange a transfer service to take you to your hotel in Cairo. Take the rest of the day to unwind and make the most of the amenities at your hotel, allowing yourself to fully relax.
Embark on an exploration of Egypt's most renowned attractions today, marveling at the legendary Pyramids of Giza and the enigmatic Sphinx. The magnificence of Cheops, the largest pyramid, held the title of Earth's tallest structure for 3,800 years. The mystery surrounding the ancient Egyptians' construction methods continues to intrigue. Afterwards, we will proceed to The Egyptian Museum, a treasure trove of ancient artifacts spanning millennia of Egyptian history. Home to an extensive collection of mummies, statues, and priceless relics, including the iconic mask of Tutankhamun, it offers a captivating journey through the wonders of ancient Egypt, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of this storied civilization. We'll then return to our hotel for overnight stay.

Today, we embark on a journey to Alexandria, a city rich in history since its establishment by Alexander the Great in 331 BC. Our adventure begins with tours of iconic landmarks such as the impressive Qaitbay Fort, the majestic Citadel, and the renowned Library of Alexandria. After enjoying lunch at a local restaurant, our exploration continues with a visit to the ancient Roman theatre. Experience the grandeur of Pompey's Pillar and delve into the underground catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa. As our day in Alexandria draws to a close, we arrange transportation back to Cairo, concluding our captivating exploration of this ancient city.

In the morning, we depart from Cairo and drive to the Red Sea resort of Hurghada (Upgrade to an internal flight available on request), where we check into a resort. Your stay here is on a "soft all-inclusive" basis, which includes all meals, soft drinks, and snacks, but excludes alcoholic beverages.

This morning, we return to Cairo by road (approximately 5 hours) and check into our hotel. (Upgrade to an internal flight available on request). Later in the afternoon, we have the option embark on a guided stroll through the alleys and markets of Old Cairo. Passing through the grand Bab al-Futuh gateway, we explore streets filled with metalwork, spices, pottery, fabric, jewelry, and more, gradually making our way to the bustling Khan-el-Khalili bazaar. We'll take a break to enjoy some mint tea offering a perfect opportunity to purchase souvenirs of your Egyptian adventure.

Your time is free today for some last minute sightseeing or shopping until we transfer you to the airport for your departure flight. If you have an afternoon or evening flight, consider joining a half-day tour of Coptic Cairo and the Citadel, or explore the evolution of pyramid building at Saqqara, Dashour & Memphis.
