This tour includes a fun camel ride, a traditional felucca cruise on the Nile, awesome sightseeing, and a stop at a beach resort by the Red Sea, ensuring that there is something for everyone to enjoy. We begin our family tour in Cairo, where we’ll visit the awe-inspiring Pyramids and Sphinx, followed by a trip to the vast Egyptian Museum – famous for its Tutankhamun exhibition and creepy mummy room. Next, we’ll climb aboard the overnight sleeper train and journey south to the picturesque town of Aswan on the banks of the River Nile. Here, we’ll visit the temple of Philae, join in on an English/Arabic language session at a local school (term times only), and enjoy a traditionally prepared Nubian meal. For those who want to experience more, there’s also an early morning option to visit the amazing Sun Temple of Ramses II at Abu Simbel. Leaving Aswan behind, we’ll float down the River Nile on board a traditional Egyptian felucca sailboat, taking in the rural scenery along the way. In Luxor, we’ll delve underground into the ancient pharaonic tombs of the Valley of the Kings and marvel at the vast temple complex of Karnak. Next, we’ll drive to the Red Sea at Hurghada to enjoy a relaxing 3-day beach stay, where families can take part in a range of water activities or simply relax under the sun. We’ll then catch a flight back to Cairo, where we’ll finish off our Egyptian adventure with a tour of Cairo, including the Citadel and Khan-el-Khalili bazaar, followed by a farewell dinner. On the last day, we’ll transfer you back to the airport for your flight home. Throughout the tour, our family-friendly guides will provide insights into the history and culture of Egypt, making it a fun and educational experience for everyone. With a balance of organized activities and free time, families will have the flexibility to explore at their own pace and make the most of their time in Egypt. Itinerary

After your arrival at Cairo airport, we'll be there to meet and greet you, and then transfer you to your hotel. The remainder of the day is yours to settle into your accommodation and unwind after your journey. You may wish to take some time to relax and recharge or venture out into the city to explore Cairo's vibrant culture and history. Whether you prefer to take a stroll through the bustling streets, sample some local cuisine, or visit some of the city's famous landmarks, our knowledgeable local guides can provide recommendations to help you make the most of your time in Cairo.
Overnight: Cairo hotel

Our adventure begins with a visit to the monumental Pyramids and Sphinx at Giza, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. While at the Pyramids, we'll embark on a short camel ride that is not only a fun experience for all the family but also provides an excellent photo opportunity. Afterward, we'll drive into downtown Cairo to explore the Egyptian Museum, which houses a vast collection of ancient artifacts, mummies, and, of course, the world-famous Tutankhamun exhibit, complete with his iconic golden funerary mask.
In the evening, we'll board the overnight sleeper train to Aswan, where we'll have private twin cabins for a comfortable journey (approx. 9 hours). As we travel through the night, we'll have the opportunity to relax and get some rest, ready for the next leg of our adventure. The sleeper train is a unique and enjoyable way to travel, offering a sense of nostalgia and adventure that will add to the overall experience of your Egyptian journey.

We'll arrive in Aswan around mid-morning, and the picturesque River Nile awaits us. Our first stop is a tour to the beautiful island temple of Philae by boat. This stunning temple was relocated after the building of Lake Nasser and is a must-see attraction in Aswan.
During term times, we'll also make a stop at a local school where we can join in with a fun and informal English/Arabic language class. We try to arrange the class with children of a similar age to your group, providing an opportunity for cultural exchange and making new friends.
Later in the day, we'll have the chance to sample a traditional Nubian meal, adding another layer to the cultural immersion of your Egyptian adventure. Aswan is known for its delicious cuisine, and this is a great opportunity to try some local specialties and experience the flavors of Egypt.
Overnight: Aswan hotel
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

For those who are early risers, there's an optional tour to enjoy the stunning sunrise at the temples of Ramses II at Abu Simbel. These fascinating temples were dismantled and rebuilt stone by stone to save them from the rising waters of Lake Nasser, and they're an incredible sight to behold.
If you choose not to take the optional Abu Simbel tour, the morning is free for you to explore Aswan's bustling and exotic bazaar or relax at the hotel before we embark on our traditional felucca sailboat and begin our journey down the Nile. We'll spend a fun night's sleep on the deck of the sailboat, well looked after by our friendly Nubian crew.
During the voyage, our support boat will join up with the felucca from time to time, providing clean toilets and showers. For those who prefer a more comfortable option, there's the possibility to upgrade to an extra night in the hotel in Aswan instead of sleeping on the felucca. This gives you the flexibility to choose the option that suits you best, ensuring that you have a comfortable and enjoyable experience on your journey down the Nile.
